Global superstars Usher and Chris Brown are set to headline Jamaica’s Reggae Sumfest which takes place from 17th – 24th July 2010.

Reggae Sumfest is Jamaica’s largest annual music event, attracting around 50,000 people each summer, including thousands of overseas visitors. The event celebrates Jamaica’s musical heritage by showcasing the best of dancehall and reggae music, as well as bringing top R ‘n’ B and hip hop performers to the island.

Reggae heavy weights Shaggy, Beenie Man, Tarrus Riley, Queen Ifrica and international R&B star Chris Brown, will bring the Reggae Sumfest stage to life this summer.

The greatest Reggae show on earth kicks off with a beach party on July 18 and continues at Catherine Hall, Montego Bay, on July 22-24 despite challenges as a result of the country's economic condition.

Wednesday was St Patrick’s Day! And all the Leprechauns came out to Coconut Joe's dressed in anything they could find that was green. The party was wild and crazy with everyone, from tourist to locals alike coming out to dance and have a good time.

Vybz Kartel & Mavado for youth talk

EMBATTLED Jamaican artistes Vybz Kartel and Mavado will talk to Barbadian youths at the gymnasium of the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex on March 26.

Responding to criticism from various quarters about the two artistes going into schools, event planners Mikey Dread and Indian said yesterday the dancehall artistes were never scheduled to go into schools.

Jimmy Cliff inducted in hall of fame

After graciously thanking the Museum organizers for the honor, Cliff got down to what truly makes him great as he kicked off his set with `You can Get It If You Really Want,` before moving on to the inspirational, `Many Rivers To Cross.`

Atlanta rapper Ludacris and Fox TV talking head Bill O’Reilly ended their feud at recent event they both attended.
Ludacris confronted The O’Reilly Factor host when he noticed O’Reilly’s name on a guest list for the event.
