Popcaan take shots dissing Aidonia & Trevor Off-Key?
His mentor may be behind bars but Portmore Empire deejay and breakthrough artiste, Popcaan seems willing to take on one of Vybz Kartel’s biggest rivals with his new single, No Yes Man.
Within the first two days of its release the song got over 200,000 views on Youtube.
The TJ Records-produced single hails as the newest release from Popcaan, regarded by many fans and Dancehall observers as the most improved artiste for 2011. No Yes Man follows up #1 efforts such as Raving, Only Man She Want and Clean that have made Popcaan an instant hit in the Dancehall industry; touting him as one of the future superstars within the genre.
In No Yes Man, Popcaan showcases sharpshooting lyrical content; apparently taking shots at Aidonia, a long-time rival of Vybz Kartel and the Portmore Empire.
Popcaan deejays, “We nuh care who a bad people, Gaza mi live so mi a mad people, have di ting weh fi tun dem inna sad people, when mi seh Peppa Skull, mi no mean season.”
Additonally, Popcaan sings, “A boast bout boss and dads, move from endz to endz wid di jeans and plaid, cyaah tell mi yuh a bad people, dem fake like Trevor Off-Key dem wrong.”
Popcaan re-affirmed his stance as a member of Vybz Kartel’s Gaza crew by saying “Adi mi Daddy is so damn mad.”
Will Aidonia respond to Popcaan’s alleged taunts? Time will tell.

O.G. Oh Hell No! NYPD Nasty Cops Take To Facebook To Call West Indian Paradegoers “Savages” And “Animals”
SMH… These cops are buggin’ with all the West Indian Day Parade yang they were talkin on Facebook!
Posters on Facebook who identified themselves as cops called participants in the Brooklyn West Indian Day parade “animals” and “savages” in a series of offensive entries that triggered an NYPD probe Monday.
“Let them kill each other,” wrote one Facebook member who posted comments under a cop’s name, according to The New York Times.
“I say have the parade one more year and when they all gather drop a bomb and wipe them all out,” wrote another, who said he was a police officer.
NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said Monday he would refer the matter to the department’s Internal Affairs Bureau.
The Facebook comments were posted for several days in September but have since been taken down.
Those who posted comments said they were angered at being assigned to the parade. They apparently used real names, in keeping with Facebook policy, and some identified themselves as officers.
One of the writers identified himself as Nick Virgilio, a police officer.
Contacted by the Daily News, Virgilio denied making derogatory comments and suggested that his Facebook account had been used without his knowledge.
“I tried to reach out to Facebook because I’ve had problems with people going on there who wrote things that I had nothing to do with,” he said. “This happened a couple of times, most recently several months ago.”
Virgilio declined to reveal where in the department he works or whether he was assigned to the parade.
Lawyers Benjamin Moore and Paul Lieberman used the Facebook diatribes in their defense of Tyrone Johnson, who was acquitted of gun possession charges last month.
The lawyers found that the Facebook profile of the arresting officer, Sgt. Dustin Edwards, showed he belonged to a group formed for “N.Y.P.D. officers who are threatened by superiors and forced to be victims themselves.”
Edwards could not be reached for comment.
The NYPD bars officers from making “discourteous or disrespectful remarks” about race or ethnicity.
The parade, an annual Labor Day weekend event, has been marred by episodes of violence.
“It’s a scheduled riot,” one poster said, according to The Times.
What the hell??? They’re talking about letting people kill each other and dropping bombs on the parade? Who knew the NYPD was the new KKK? Internal Affairs better figure this isht out… and with a quickness!

Gaza Slim Reports To Police Station To Face Charge In Kartel Case
Gaza Slim reported to the Constant Spring Police Station on Monday afternoon, accompanied by her attorney. The singjay was initially summoned by law enforcement officials to report to the station on Friday to face questioning in the Kartel matter. This followed several failed attempts to communicate with the singjay.
The artiste otherwise known as Vanessa Bling faces a charge of perverting the course of justice after allegedly filing a false police report; claiming that she was robbed by Clive “Lizard” Williams, one of the men Vybz Kartel stands accused of killing at a Havendale, St. Andrew premises in August. The report was filed five days after the self-professed “Worl’ Boss” was charged for the murder.
Law enforcement officials insist they possess a cellular phone containing a text message where Kartel ordered Gaza Slim to fabricate the robbery. According to police, this was done as a measure to aid Kartel’s legal defense.
