Yesterday as I got back to the office from lunch, and was walking towards the door to enter the building, There was another man that had just exited his car, and was heading towards the door just as I was. When he realized we were both heading towards the same door, he practically hopped ahead just so he could open the door for me. This was SO sweet of him to do. Now, this surely doesn’t happen every day! But it was a nice change from those guys that just stand there at the door, while I struggle with a heavy bag or an umbrella. So it got me wondering, why is it that this doesn’t happen every day?
I mean to say... It’s almost rare to see a man open the door, or pull out a chair for any random woman much less his girlfriend. Why is this so?So I wana hear from the guys on this one… do you open doors and pull out chairs for the ladies, help them carry heavy grocery bags? If not… why? And ladies, when you’re treated nicely or with good common courtesy, doesn’t it make you wanna be extra nice to that one guy that opens your doors and pulls out your chair?
